Knowing the multiplication ‘tables by heart’ is ESSENTIAL to all successful mental and written arithmetic. Being able to work out 7x5 by adding up is not the same as recalling instantly that the answer is 35. This app sets out to help you memorise these multiplication facts for all the tables from x2 to x12 in a fun way. A reduced edition is also available excluding the 11 and 12 times tables.

The app incorporates the popular ‘Explore Multiples’ page by way of introduction. It is a place to play with multiples and to observe patterns in the ‘100 square’ of numbers.

Following that, each table is presented on two screens. The first screen is where you learn to complete the facts correctly from a pool of answers using drag-and-drop. You can choose to have the facts presented in order, or jumbled, or indeed you can answer them in reverse (‘if this is the answer, what is the question?’). The second screen gives you an endless sequence of random flashcards to answer in either ‘play’ or ‘test’ mode. In play mode, the app assists you to learn by repeating any questions with which you had difficulty earlier.

The test mode of the second screen is the challenge. Can you get your average time to answer each flashcard question down to 2 seconds or less?

The last five screens of this app are play/test screens that allow you either to play or to test yourself in each of the following groups:

- Multiplication tables 2, 5, 10 (twenty random flashcard questions)
- Multiplication tables 2, 3, 4 (twenty random flashcard questions)
- Multiplication tables 2 to 5 and 10 (thirty random flashcard questions)
- Multiplication tables 2 to 10 (forty random flashcard questions)
- Multiplication tables 2 to 12 (fifty random flashcard questions)

This app is the ideal way of perfecting your knowledge of the multiplication facts.
